Once a year we take the opportunity to celebrate home education by having a week full of events and activities for the whole family. Meet other families while enjoying some fun and unique experiences right in your own back yard. We are looking forward to seeing you there!

Date: Monday, June 14
Event: Orienteering from 4-6 followed by picnic
Time: 4:00pm-7:00pm
Location: Kaysville Mountain Park – 1500 East 650 North, Fruit Heights
Cost: Free although donations would be appreciated

Date: Monday, June 14
Event: Seven Peaks Water Park Homeschool Special
Time: All day
Location: Seven Peaks Water Park in Provo
Cost: 25% off full day admission; $5 off Family Splash package (print the coupon)

Date: Tuesday, June 15
Event: Bingham Copper Mine
Time: Hours are 8:00am – 8:00pm
 - Gate is closed at 7:15pm, site is closed at 8:00pm.  You will typically want to allow yourselves about 2 hours to   really enjoy the mine, the movie, and the museum.
Location: 12800 S. State Route 111, Bingham Canyon, UT. See a map of routes to the mine .
Cost
: $5/car and your admission is 100% tax deductible because all admissions are donated to charities, so save your receipt!
 

Date: Wednesday, June 16
Time: 9:00am-noon
Event: Orienteering from 9-11 followed by picnic
Location: Hidden Valley Park – 2800 East Wasatch Blvd, Sandy
Cost: Free although donation would be appreciated

Date: Thursday, June 17
Event: Boondocks for Everyone!
Time: You decide when you want to attend.
Location: Boondocks Kaysville and Draper.
Cost: $17.95 and $11.95 for Unlimited Day Pass.  Download and print the flier and take it with you for this great price on an all day family fun activity!

Dates: Friday-Saturday, June 18-19
Event: Helper-Price Area Day Trips or Mini-Vacation
Special Exhibits, Shows, and Outdoor Play in the Helper/Price area – Choose one or two activities for a day trip or make a mini-vacation out of it!  See detailed information for specific times and locations
Itinerary: Friday Afternoon: College of Eastern Utah Prehistoric Museum in Price (10 minutes south of Helper)
Cost: Free (for UHEA) Meet Jim Bird the “Paleo Dude”.   Personalized tour with the museum director. Feed live “dinosaur like” animals
Friday Evening: Model Car Cruise followed by entertainment, picnic, and movie in Helper City Park - Free

Saturday: Choose two shorter events or one longer event and make a day of it.  Choose from:

  • Butch Cassidy Gang Car Club’s Outlaw Car Show (Helper) - Free
  • Western Mining and Railroad Museum (Helper) - Free
  • Cleveland Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry (40 minutes south of Helper) - $5/person age 16 and up
  • Nine-Mile Canyon (8 miles east of Price) - Free    Desert Wave Pool (Price) – $4/adults, $3/children, $13.25/family Friday
